Erin Petersen-Lindberg
About me
Colleges attended:
*UC Davis undergrad
*UCSC Master's in Education
I grew up locally, attended Mountain Elementary School, B40 Jr. High and Soquel High. As a youth I was active in tennis and horse vaulting (acrobatics/gymnastics on the back of a moving horse). My team, Timberline vaulters, traveled and competed all over Europe. As a senior in high school, I was selected to be the U.S. team captain, and traveled to Bulle, Switzerland, for the first world championships.
My summers off between college were spent as a camp counselor, at UC Berkeley's Lair of the Bear. The Sierras have always been a retreat, a place I've enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In fact, I still camp at the Lair with my parents, my family, and my brother's family. Go Bears!
My husband Mel, also a teacher, and my four year old Amelie, like to
travel as well; we try to get away each summer for an adventure.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy cycling, snowboarding, and when I can squeeze it in, surfing. With the recent addition of a piano to our home, I have rediscovered the joy of playing music, and dusted off my flute.
Amelie and I have played some pretty amazing duets!
I feel lucky to teach at Branciforte Middle School, the staff is
supportive, creative and provides and excellent learning environment for all.
